Features of the riding Budennovskaya breed of horses (part 2)

The Budyonnovsky breed of horses is grown exclusively in herds. As they graze on limited pastures, wayward and naughty mares are found that interfere with everyone else. Such individuals need to be excluded, because among thoroughbred horses complaisance, intelligence, contact and lack of aggression are appreciated.

Foals from mothers are taken away in October-November. It is noteworthy that young animals born from February to May are weaned at the same time. Before this, the foals need to be milled, but only in a cold way. The brand must have the emblem of the plant, the year of birth of the animal and its individual number.

Budennovskaya breed of horse

Herds of young animals taken from mares are herds, and males and females need to be kept separately. The most valuable specimens fall into the cultural group – here horses are grown that are valuable in the tribal or sports direction. Young “Budyonnovtsy” are kept in stalls, in pairs. As a rule, farmers accustom them to halter, put them off and call them individual nicknames.

Animals from two years and older are traditionally checked in smooth races. Tests allow you to select the most valuable individuals that have interior qualities and the ability to withstand strong physiological loads. As very valuable, the Budyonnovsky horses are all recorded in the studbook, which is published every year. Animals are even provided with a special passport. Breeders rate producers by the quality of their offspring.

Now the Budyonnovsky horses are a sports breed, universal in many disciplines: dressage, horse racing, show jumping and eventing. Since the withdrawal, the exterior has remained the same. In Russia, these horses are bred mainly at three plants in the Rostov region, although popularity has already been transferred to other countries. Horse breeders managed to appreciate the unpretentiousness, high athletic potential and the ability to improve other breeds. In the classic types of equestrian competitions, three quarters of athletes choose “Budennovtsy” for themselves.

According to reviews, horses are independent and active. The horses love vigorous movement, even without urging, and always respond to the rider’s commands adequately. If you need an excellent sports horse – make your choice on the domestic Budyonnovsky breed. Be sure you will not regret it.
