Experts say that the Karachay breed of horses was fully formed closer to the 15th century in Elbrus region. The famous Hungarian scientist Jean Charles de Bess wrote in his literary works that the Karachais are breeding beautiful horses. Of course, he was referring to the already known Karachai breed of horses.
